North Scottsdale is getting a new farmer’s market.
On the second Sunday of the month from November through April, The Thumb will host a Scottsdale farmer’s market featuring 40 local different vendors. Farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers, lemonade, baked goods, gluten-free breads, cake pops, honey, salsas, dog treats, permanent jewelry, custom bird houses, cutting boards and wood decor, and much more will be available for purchase. There will also be face painting and balloon twisting for the kids.
The Scottsdale farmers market, which is dog-friendly, will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the following Sundays: Nov. 12, Dec. 10, January 14, February 11, March 10, April 14.
The Thumb, a Scottsdale landmark, is best known for its award-winning barbeque and bakery, car wash and service, giant fish tank, and for being featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Opened in 2012 inside a gas station/car wash, The Thumb has become an unlikely but enormously popular destination for barbecue in the Valley. Its brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and Kansas City barbecue sauce are big hits among customers. There is also a large, outdoor patio area with complimentary doggie treats. High-octane 95 and 100 fuel are also sold at the gas station.
