On Feb. 14, 2003, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria opened its first location outside of New York. The location? Old Town Scottsdale.
In the 20 years since, Grimaldi’s—which specializes in coal-fired, brick oven, Brooklyn-style pizza—has opened more than 40 locations in 11 states. The Old Town location remains one of the busiest in the nation.
In honor of its anniversary, Grimaldi’s launched a new Garden Ranch Salad (a bed of romaine lettuce topped with oven-roasted sweet red peppers, red onions, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, coal-oven baked crouton,s and ranch dressing). Throughout the year, Grimaldi’s will continue to release new menu additions that will pay homage to its New York City roots. Spoiler alert: there may be a specialty anniversary cheesecake coming soon!
Along with the new menu items, Grimaldi’s will have monthly giveaways throughout 2023. The Margherita Margarita Giveaway that began on Jan. 13 and will run through March 6, includes an 1800 Tequila Yeti Cooler, a Casamigos Tequila Polaroid Camera, a Margaritaville Frozen Drink Maker, and a $100 Grimaldi’s gift card.
Grimaldi’s plans on pursuing opportunities to serve more communities, which includes opening two more Texas locations and a restaurant in Kansas this year. There will be many more announcements throughout 2023, including the new seasonal menu which launches on March 7.
