A new concept-within-a-concept will soon debut at Hush Public House.
For the second time since it opened in Feb. 2019, the destination, located 14202 N. Scottsdale Road, is expanding. This time, the expansion will also include a new secondary concept—a lounge serving craft cocktails and chef-driven small plates.
In order to allow for this, the locale’s sister concept next door, The Vanilla Gorilla (TVG) Tap Room and Bottle Shop, will close on Fri., June 30 to make way for the expansion, as well as the new yet-to-be-named concept.
The new concept will open later this summer.
“We are a chef-driven company and we want to offer our guests what we most excel at—seasonal plates and craft cocktails,” says owner and chef Dom Ruggiero, who also owns and operates Fire at Will under the umbrella of Cast Iron Concepts restaurant group. “We’re excited to get back to our roots and offer valley residents another elevated neighborhood drinking and dining establishment.”
During the closure, the space will be redesigned to include the expansion of Hush, which initially opened with just 1,200 square feet and expanded for the first time in 2020. This expansion will push the Hush and cocktail lounge combined space to more than 5,000 square feet.
The lounge’s bar program is currently being developed by Libby Lingua and Mitch Lyons of Two Hands Consulting, LLC, whom Ruggiero worked with to conceptualize the bar programs at both Hush and Fire at Will, which opened in Phoenix just six months ago. The new concept will also feature innovative seasonal plates developed by Ruggiero.
Details about the lounge will be announced soon, the company says.
