This Locale is Serving Up Unique Offerings for ‘Ice Cream for Breakfast Day’
By Staff | January 26, 2025
In case you hadn’t yet heard, Feb. 1 is officially Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. The holiday began in the 1960s, when Forence Rappaort, a mom of six, first declared it as a way to entertain her children.
This year, ice cream destination Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams—which has locations in Old Town Scottsdale and at Scottsdale Quarter—is celebrating with early shop openings, a new limited-time flavor, breakfast-inspired menu pairings, kids’ activity sheets, stickers, and exclusive swag.
Both locations will open that day at 9 a.m. Guests can enjoy:
-
The limited-edition Blueberry Johnny Cakes Pint: This new breakfast-inspired flavor features cornbread pancakes and blueberry-maple jam in a buttery sweet cream, mimicking the taste and feel of a perfect blueberry pancake topped with maple syrup.
-
Breakfast menu pairings: There will be a special menu of breakfast-related flavors in shops to inspire what to order.
-
The L’affogato special: Begin your day with offee and ice cream.
-
Other specials: There will be kids’ activity sheets, stickers, and campaign signs to pick up to show your support for Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.
