The Westin Kierland Golf Club Earns Prestigious ‘Distinguished Golf Destination’ Designation
By Staff | December 6, 2024
The Westin Kierland Golf Club, a Troon Golf property, was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Golf Destination designation by BoardRoom Magazine, in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. This esteemed accolade, recognized as the Hallmark of Excellence for golf courses, highlights exceptional golf experiences that set the standard in service, amenities, and overall guest satisfaction.
The Distinguished Golf Destination designation is a merit-based honor, awarded through a rigorous evaluation. Unlike other accolades, it is not based on popularity but on measurable excellence in facilities, services, and the overall golf experience. Developed by BoardRoom Magazine and Forbes Travel Guide, this designation is reserved for golf clubs that consistently exceed expectations, setting a benchmark for the industry.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Distinguished Golf Destination,” says Nancy Dickens, director of Golf at The Westin Kierland Golf Club. “This designation reflects our team’s dedication to providing an unparalleled golf experience, from the quality of our course to the exceptional service offered to every guest who visits our golf club.”
“This recognition is a testament to our entire staff’s hard work and teamwork,” adds Derek Ellis, general manager of The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. “It underscores our commitment to excellence, not just in golf, but in delivering memorable experiences across all facets of our resort.”
With this significant designation, The Westin Kierland Golf Club joins the ranks of other prestigious Troon properties such as Black Desert Resort, Silverado Resort, and The Ocean Club at Atlantis Paradise Island, further solidifying its position as a premier golf destination.
The Westin Kierland Golf Club has also been honored as one of the “Top 10 Public Courses in Phoenix/Scottsdale” by Golf Advisor and ranked by Golf Digest as one of “America’s 9 Most Cheerful Golf Courses.”
