Scottsdale Collision Center is all about community and showing up. The team there recently partnered with the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children (ACFC), which led to helping two Arizona families facing the challenge of pediatric cancer by fully repairing and restoring their vehicles.
Through their partnership with the local nonprofit, those at Scottsdale Collision Center had learned of two families in urgent need of reliable transportation. Between critical doctor appointments and hospital visits to community events at ACFC, it’s essential that the families had reliable transportation. Recognizing the impact this could have, they sprang into action.
“As a father of three daughters, this really hit close to home,” says Oscar Granados, owner. “We’re incredibly grateful that we have the ability to help these families. Our community supports us by trusting our shops, so giving back to our community like this is something we truly love to do.”
Providing Repairs Above & Beyond
For one family, Scottsdale Collision Center fully restored their vehicle, providing comprehensive repairs and enhancements including a full paint job, headlight restoration, battery replacement, A/C module repair, new window tinting for Arizona’s hot summer months, an oil change, fluid replacement, and other minor repairs to ensure everything is in top condition. The team aimed to ensure the car looks and feels like new.
The family was overwhelmed, says a company representative. What they had expected to be a simple repair turned out to be a complete transformation, far exceeding anything they had imagined.
The father had intended to pass down the car to his daughter who is currently battling pediatric cancer. Now, it’s ready for her to use.
The second family lived too far from Phoenix, so was unable to bring their vehicle directly to Scottsdale Collision Center. Still eager to help, Scottsdale Collision Center covered the full cost of repairs completed at the family’s local auto shop.
Showing Up for the Community
Reps for Scottsdale Collision Center say that the company feels that being a local business means more than just serving a community; it means showing up for it when it’s needed most.
The business has already expressed a strong interest in continuing this partnership and hopes to support even more families in the future.
