Tee Up! Kasai Japanese Steakhouse to Host 2nd Annual Fire & Fairways Charity Golf Tournament
By Michelle Glicksman | April 26, 2023
Ready for some golf? Kasai Japanese Steakhouse will hold its 2nd annual Fire & Fairways Charity Golf Tournament on June 5 at the Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club. Golfers can compete for great prizes while supporting Arizonans for Children, a nonprofit that has been helping Arizona’s abused, neglected, and abandoned children since 2002.
“Kasai is eager to help make a difference for Arizona’s foster children,” says owner Mike Russello. “In 2022, we raised more than $10,000 after costs, and we hope to continue to make a greater impact for our state’s most vulnerable populations.”
The Fire & Fairways Charity Tournament will have a variety of events, including eight hole-in-one contests for prizes such as a two-year Cadillac lease from Coulter Cadillac; a golf trip to Pebble Beach; a trip for two to the 2023 Ryder’s Cup in Rome, Italy; $10,000 cash; and more. There will also be a 50-foot putting contest for $5,000, a helicopter ball drop contest sponsored by EdKey.org, a golf ball launcher, and an Integra Golf par 3 event.
At 7:30 a.m., a helicopter will drop hundreds of numbered golf balls over the chipping area, marking the official start of the tournament. The three golf balls in or closest to the hole will win a great prize.
After the tournament, players can head to Kasai for a complimentary tournament luncheon that will include teppanyaki, sushi, cocktails, raffles, and prizes. Those who choose not to participate in the tournament can enjoy the luncheon by purchasing tickets online for $40 (or $50 the day of the event).
Registration is $160 through April 30; $175 from May 1-31; and $225 from June 1-5.
