New Restaurant Straight From Italy Opens its First Arizona Location

Ciao! An authentic Italian locale has debuted in Arizona. Fratelli La Bufala at The Grove (7300 N Via Paseo del Sur, Scottsdale) is only the second United States location for the Italian destination, and its first in Arizona.
Fratelli La Bufala is a restaurant project concept that focuses its offer on products from Italy’s Campania region. The brand was founded in Naples in 2003, sparked by an idea by Geppi Marotta. It was created to be an ambassador of Neapolitan pizza at an international level, through a network of restaurants with a common identity, though each of them maintains its uniqueness. There are now 70 restaurant locations globally with his brand, including in Naples, Milan, Dubai, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and London. The other U.S. location is in Miami, Florida.
This recent Scottsdale locale expands the initial Fratelli La Bufala concept into an Italian Ristorante e Pizzeria, complete with a full dining room, handcrafted cocktail bar, and patio. The seating is designed to give most guests a view of the signature wood-burning oven, where they can watch their pizzas being prepared. There’s also a mozzarella high table, similar to what would be found at a traditional Italian deli.
The menu features a variety of authentic Neapolitan creations, with many of the ingredients sourced from Italy daily, including the DOP mozzarella di bufala and the water buffalo meat. There’s homemade ricotta gnocchi, Parmigiana in Carrozza (deep fried eggplant parmigiana ball served with tomato sauce and fresh basil, Croccantino Caprese (couscous deep fried fior di latte mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and EVOO served on a bed of arugula), and the Grass Fed Angus Beef “Arizona Burger.” Vegetarian, gluten-free, and kids’ pizza and pasta menu options are also available.

“With Scottsdale being an epicenter for massive culinary growth, it was such a natural choice for us to bring both the traditions and experiences of Naples to our customers locally in Arizona to enjoy and visitors alike, not just a meal,” says Fabio Sodano of Fratelli La Bufala Scottsdale. “We never forget our origins, first and foremost, and that we are pizza makers in this world, with the intention of creating the best experiences for our guests and a warm, easy-going atmosphere and delicious food.”
Fratelli La Bufala Scottsdale is open for lunch, happy hour, and dinner daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Happy hour is available at the bar weekdays, from 3-6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. -5 p.m.
