MOTHER’S DAY: The Valley Restaurants and Locales Offering Specials

Many Valley locations are rolling out the red carpet for moms this Mother’s Day weekend. From brunches to teas to activities and more, here are some of the special offerings.
SCOTTSDALE
Angry Crab Shack
Stop by any of Angry Crab Shack’s 16 Valley locations for limited-time drink specials, including the MOM-osa (champagne and orange juice; $5); Spicy Señorita Michelada (muddled jalapenos and limes with spicy infused vodka, Bloody Mary mix, tabasco, and Huss Mexican Lager, garnished with a jalapeno slice and lime wedge; $7); Mango Mamacita Michelada (mango puree, lemon juice, and Bloody Mary mix topped with Huss Mexican Lager and garnished with lemon and lime slices; $7)) and Blossom Beermosa (orange Blossom Beer and Deep Eddy Orange Vodka topped with orange juice; $6).
Chompie’s
All moms receive a free dessert (choice of carrot, mousse, 7-layer, or red velvet cake) at Chompie’s with the purchase of an entree. Dine-in only. Multiple Valley locations.
Kasai
Kasai, which offers a teppan table dining experience in addition to its regular tables, is offering a complimentary glass of champagne or mimosa when you dine in for Mother’s Day. The restaurant will also be open early for Mother’s Day at noon.
Koibito Poke
Have mom show her Koibito Poke app on her phone and she’ll receive 50% off her Poke bowl. Four Valley locations. Offer valid for dine-in only. Discount valid for one bowl per person.

Kona Grill
Kona Grill is offering dinner on Sat. and Sun., May 13 and 14, with prime rib surf and turf. On Sun., May 14, enjoy brunch with options including eggs benedict, steak and eggs, and macadamia nut French toast.

LDV Winery
In honor of Mother’s Day, LDV Winery is featuring an exclusive wine special for just moms. From 11 a.m.-7 p.m., moms can enjoy a glass of rosé for just $5, as well as 20 percent off bottles of rosé.
Massage Envy
Need a gift? Receive 50% off any skincare session at Massage Envy (at the non-member, non-intro rate) with the purchase of any 60-minute massage, facial, or stretch session (at the non-member, non-intro rate) through May 14. Multiple Valley locations.
The Montauk
For moms missing their East Coast roots, head to The Montauk. On Mother’s Day, mom can sip on a glass of Whispering Angel Rosé for just $1 with the purchase of an entree. There’s also the usual brunch from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and live acoustic local music from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Mavrix
A special brunch buffet will be served from Mavrix‘s Trophy Room Grill, and will include parfaits, bruschette, potato gratin, frittata florentine, mascarpone french toast, corned beef hash and more. Adults can sip half off mimosas until 2 p.m. Reservations also come with a $10 game card per person to use in Mavrix’s arcade.

Octane Raceway
Moms get a free axe throwing session and one free race with a paid guest at Octane Raceway on Mother’s Day. Reservations recommended.
OEB Breakfast Co.
Brunch hot spot OEB Breakfast Co. is celebrating moms all month long with its Mom’osa special. The drink, which adds a tropical twist to a classic mimosa, is made with pineapple juice and bubbly and finished with a coconut rim.

Pita Jungle
At Pita Jungle, moms can receive their choice of Walnut Baklawa or Chocolate Dipped Walnut Baklawa for dessert for free with the purchase of an entree. Offer valid for dine-in only at participating locations.
POMO Pizzeria
This Italian restaurant known for mouthwatering Neapolitan pizzas and homemade pastas is ready to celebrate Mom with a special featured cocktail created just for Mother’s Day. Made with local spirits brand ROXX Vodka, the Mom ROXX cocktail is shaken up with lemon and pineapple juice and watermelon puree and finished with a pink sugar rim and a cotton candy garnish to make it extra sweet. Promotion is available at the Gainey Village location.

On Mother’s Day, Roka Akor is offering a special brunch menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., bottomless mimosas ($29.95), a dinner tasting menu ($115), and a $50 gift card for mom. Reservations are required.
STK Steakhouse
From tea to wagyu, STK Steakhouse has a variety of events for moms. On Sun., May 14, there is morning brunch (STK Bennies, Hot Chicken & Waffle, Truffle Steak & Egg, Mothers Goodies), afternoon tea (cocktails available, too!), and wagyu specials.

Streets of New York
This family-owned, local franchise pizzeria is offering moms a free dessert with the purchase of an entree. Options include New York Cheesecake, Cannoli, Double Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Passion Cookie. Streets of New York’s award-winning pizza is made with specially chosen ingredients that are always handcrafted and hand-tossed. Gluten-free options are available.

SugarJam The Southern Kitchen
SugarJam The Southern Kitchen is enhancing its menu on May 14 with the return of its popular Peach Cobbler French Toast ($21.95). SugarJam The Southern Kitchen serves a Southern-themed brunch, craft cocktails, mimosa flights, and scratch-baked goods, and has a resident DJ spinning all the hits.
PHOENIX
Chateau Luxe
Chateau Luxe is hosting its second annual Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The lavish buffet will be filled with exclusive food and beverage creations, including a seafood tower, omelets and waffles made to order, custom mimosas, a prime rib cutting station, and chef prepared entrees inspired by global cuisine. There will also be live entertainment, giveaways for moms, a free kids’ corner, and a professional photographer available to take family photos.
The D-Backs
The D-Backs celebrate all weekend, kicking off the festivities on Fri., May 12, with a Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration and postgame fireworks. On Sat., May 13, in conjunction with the Asian Heritage Celebration, the first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive the Anime Player Tee, with a design by local artist Andrea Ramirez Cordero. And on Sun., May 14, the first 10,000 moms through the door will receive a three-quarter sleeve Mother’s Day Tee. There will also be specialty food and drinks available. There is also a pregame Yoga on the Field (tickets required), Wendy’s Kids Run the Bases and Face Painting in the Sandlot.
J&G Steakhouse
Normally only open for dinner, J&G Steakhouse is open for a special Mother’s Day brunch on Sun., May 14 from 10 a.m.-1:45 pm (last seating). The brunch includes chef-attended carving, griddle and saute stations, Lobster Eggs Benedict, hand-rolled sushi, exotic cheeses from around the world, and of course endless displays of decadent desserts.
Original Breakfast House
In honor of Mother’s Day, Original Breakfast House is featuring several specials: Guadalajara Benedict (house-made sopes topped with black beans, chorizo, poached eggs, and Chile de Arbol hollandaise. Served with nopalitos salad and fruit garnish; $17); Dutch Baby Pancakes with Fresh Berries ($14.50)); Pacific Snapper Tampico and Eggs ($17)); Balsamic-Glazed Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables ($24)).

Phoenix City Grille
In addition to its all-day menu and Sunday brunch, Phoenix City Grille is offering Filet Oscar (wood-grilled beef tenderloin filet served with caramelized onion smashed Yukon potatoes, lump crab meat, organic asparagus and tarragon beurre rouge; $54) and Pan-Roasted Chula Seafood Wild Alaskan Halibut (with roasted local beets, sweet pea puree, McClendon Farms citrus wheels, balsamic reduction, and pistachios; $36).
T.Cook’s at Royal Palms
Royal Palms will host two dining specials: a three-course prix-fixe brunch at T. Cook’s (includes a shrimp and oyster station, braised short rib and pan-roasted salmon and more accompanied by an array of desserts) and a banquet buffet in one of the resort’s recently redesigned ballrooms (custom omelets, a waffle station, a chilled seafood display, a carved meats station and a selection of desserts). Brunches will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and include a glass of sparkling wine or Royal Palms mimosa. $175 perperson and $75 for ages 6-12 (complimentary for children age 5 and under).
Rusconi’s American Kitchen
Enjoy a special three-course menu (choose selections from a variety of options) on Mother’s Day at Rusconi’s American Kitchen. $78++.
CAREFREE
Keeler’s Neighborhood Steakhouse
Enjoy a special Mother’s Day brunch at Keeler’s Neighborhood Steakhouse from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with selections such as a prime rib carving station, shrimp, lobster, and oysters, scrambled eggs, and more. There are also bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas ($19). Cost is $65 per adult and $35 for children under age 10, plus tax and gratuity.
