Looking for new places to keep cool while getting some exercise? Scottsdale Fashion Square’s Indoor Walking Moai series is back, helping bring a health-minded community together for fitness and camaraderie. The spring series is happening now and continues every Wednesday and Saturday through May 31, from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Gather in the cool comfort of the shopping center to beat the heat while walking and talking during each hour-long program, which is presented in partnership with Blue Zones Project Scottsdale. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, and no gear or experience is needed—just a comfy pair of shoes and an interest in making new friends.
The Indoor Walking Moai (pronounced “moh-eye”) honors a tradition from Japan, a “blue zone” where people live longer, healthier lives. Moais are social support groups where people meet to share, experience life together, extend advice, and find others to call on in times of need.
To participate, enter the shopping center between Moxies and Shake Shack on the first floor. Meet at the east wing rotunda, near Lululemon, H&M, and Lucid Motors.
