For Your Calendar: ‘June Days’ Events Return to Scottsdale

The City of Scottsdale’s June Days monthlong event and experiences extravaganza is returning for the 2025 summer season.

June Days’ daily experiences range from wine tastings and art exhibits to yoga mornings, stadium tours, and more. Many of the events are free to attend.

“June Days serves as an opportunity for the city of Scottsdale to highlight some of our independently owned businesses and offer our community a robust series of activities and engagements throughout the summer,” says Rachel Smetana, tourism and events director for the City of Scottsdale.

Highlights of some of the options include:

 

Tournament of Treats

WHEN: All month via social media

COST: Free to participate online; frozen treat costs vary by location

The City of Scottsdale is on the hunt to find the area’s biggest frozen treat fans and favorite frozen treat. During the contest, local merchants will be showing off their coolest summer treats for social media fans to vote on and earn the chance to win gift cards from participating locations including AZ Froze, Jenni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Original ChopShop, Red Canyon Café, Shakes & Cones, Skoop and Sweet Republic.

 

Stories and Sweets

WHEN: Tuesdays—June 3, June 10, June 17 and June 24 | 6:30-7:30 p.m.

COST: Free to attend

WHERE: Scottsdale Community Design Studio

Guests of all ages are invited to listen in as Scottsdale storytellers share historical tales about the early days of Old Town. Scottsdale Citizen Advisor Bruce Wall hosts four events in the series: The Pioneers Came to Scottsdale, The Pioneers Built Scottsdale, The Pioneers Shop in Scottsdale, and Crimes in the Times of the Pioneers. Each program includes a sweet treat from an Old Town business. This year’s lineup includes sweets from Bright Side Café, Chin Up Donuts, Ruze Cake House and The Marketplace by Arcadia Farms.

 

The Cool Frontier – Spaghetti Western Movie Series

WHEN: June 3 – 29 | 2 p.m.

COST: Free for museum members (must log-in first to reserve tickets), free with museum admission, or $10 for the program alone

WHERE: Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West

Eight iconic films will be presented that pushed the Western genre into wild new territory—and changed cinema forever.

 

Morning Yoga with Lululemon

WHEN: Saturday, June 7 | 8 a.m.

COST: Free to attend

WHERE: Scottsdale Civic Center

Start off the morning with a yoga session guided by Lululemon ambassadors Patty Tapia and Shawnee Williams.

 

Breakfast at the Market

WHEN: Saturdays—June 7, June 14, June 21 and June 28 | 7-10 a.m.

COST: Free to attend

WHERE: 3806 N. Brown Ave.

Vendors offer a variety of breakfast foods and artisan items. All month long, you can snack and shop your way through the market while listening to live performances from a variety of musicians, including Ed Helmstead, Lindsey Vogt, Christopher Lawrie, and Ben Reneer.

 

Scottsdale Stadium Tours

WHEN: Friday, June 13 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 14 at 9 a.m.

COST: $5 for adults, free for children 12 and under

WHERE: Scottsdale Stadium

Explore this beloved focal point of Old Town in a whole new way with a fun, informative, and engaging guided tour.

 

Trivia Night: 2000s Edition

WHEN: Friday, June 13 | 7-9 p.m.

COST: $20+ per person

WHERE: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art

Comedian Anwar Newton hosts this fun evening filled with 2000s-themed movie, TV, and music references to test participants’ pop culture IQ.

 

Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones Watch Party

WHEN: Saturday, June 14 | 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

COST: Free to attend

WHERE: Scottsdale Civic Center Library

Enjoy the entire four-part series of this visually stunning and informative documentary, which explores some of the healthiest communities on the planet. Throughout the event, you can enjoy guided stretch breaks, mindfulness exercises, tips on growing your own produce, and more.

 

Mary Chapin Carpenter Concert

WHEN: Sunday, June 22 | 7-9 p.m.

COST: Tickets range from $64-$135+

WHERE: Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts

Mary Chapin Carpenter performs with her poetic song stories and toe-tapping hits such as “Passionate Kisses,” “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her,” and more, with accompaniment by Brandy Clark.

 

Other Experiences Include: 

  • Nightly karaoke at The Grapevine
  • Sips, Bites and Beats at Hotel Valley Ho every weekend in June
  • Summer specials at Pendleton
  • “Squidsoup” and “Life on Mars” exhibitions at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art
  • Summer Series Fridays at Barre3 Old Town, featuring themed yoga, such as Girls Night Out and Date Night Barre, on Friday nights at 5:30 p.m.
  • Honkey Tonk Brunch at Belle’s Nashville Kitchen every Saturday and Sunday, featuring live music
  • Yellow Spruce Roasters’ Beans and Booze Happy Hour, with 25% off all espresso martinis and wine flights Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m.
  • $20 off JoyridesAZ’s Tasty Local Gelato and Ice Cream Tour (booking of four guests, valid on tours Sunday through Thursday)
  • Lucky Local Discounts at W Hotel, including 20% off Monday through Thursday
