Luxury Pool Builder Launches New Division to Prioritize Affordability
By Kendra Riley | September 8, 2023
After a summer of record-breaking heat here in Scottsdale and across the state, longtime Valley pool builder Dane Palmero of Overflow Pool Construction & Repair saw a need in the market for a much more affordable option that would allow families the luxury of having their own pool without the hefty price tag. His newest concept, called Simply Fun Pools, keeps costs down by providing eight basic plans with three styles of waterline tile and coping to choose from.
Built with the same grade material and craftmanship as Palmero’s luxury pools, Simply Fun Pools various packages provide the custom pool experience without breaking the bank. Eight designs are available for customers to choose from, along with three styles of waterline tile and coping – all starting from $29,822 (versus a luxury pool, which could run anywhere from $200,000 to $500,000). Options to upgrade from the base options include LED pool lights, Ultra Poz or Pebble Sheen instead of plaster, an in-floor cleaning system, deck jets and more.
“Since we have all of the necessary systems for building already in place and the homeowner will apply for the permit, we’re able to offer a quick build out, anywhere from 6-8 weeks after excavation (depending upon supply and production availability),” said Palmero.
A veteran of the pool industry, who got his start in 1978, Palmero has helped shape the pool industry in Arizona. From his beginnings as an underwater swimming pool repair specialist who also offered a weekly maintenance route servicing residential and commercial clientele, Palmero then moved into pool construction and discovered his true talent for design. Decades later, he is now one of the most sought-after award-winning pool designers in the industry and utilized his knowledge and experience to become an author. His book, “The Ultimate Pool Buyers Guide,” helps pool buyers understand the basic aspects of pool construction, what to expect during the construction phases and the right questions to ask a pool sales representative in order to avoid unknown issues.
