Celebrate with $4 Dos XX lager bottles, $6 Corazon Blanco shots, $8 Dos XX lager and a shot of Corazon Blanco, and $8 Cinco margaritas with Corazon Blanco. Food specials include the Macayo a La Carte Chimi for $10, with choice of shredded beef, shredded chicken, ground beef or pork carnitas; sides of Mexican rice, refried beans or black beans for $.79 each with any a la carte Chimi order; and sides of guacamole, Baja sauce, and calabacitas for $1.49 each with any a la carte Chimi order. Also a Don Julio Margarita Bar Takeover, with Don Julio 1942 pours for just $42 and a tequila ice luge. The Cactus location of this locale only is offering a Michelin Star Taco & Tequila Flight Board ($40), featuring three luxury tequilas paired with a signature taco created by Michelin-starred Chef Arturo Rivera Martinez, who will be on site preparing them live.
Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia
The resort’s iconic Cinco de Mayo celebration returns this year, featuring a luxurious fiesta filled with street tacos, signature margaritas, mariachi music and more. In partnership with Dos Hombres Mezcal and Cierto Tequila, guests are invited to indulge in mezcal and tequila expressions. There will also be live mariachi, the beer burro, and exclusive specialty cocktails. Admission to the celebration is free and open to the public. Additionally, there is a tasting class hosted by experts from Dos Hombres Mezcal and Cierto Tequila is available for $60 per guest in the resort’s signature restaurant, Prado. The day’s schedule includes: Main Event (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.; enjoy a festive atmosphere featuring house-made street tacos and margaritas). Mariachi (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; live mariachi band). Beer Burro (noon – 2 p.m.; Omni Scottsdale’s Beer Burro donkey. Tequila & Mezcal Tasting feat. Cierto & Dos Hombres (1 – 1:45 p.m.; indulge in the finest tequila and mezcal expressions, mingle with fellow aficionados, and discover a new appreciation for the complexities of agave-based spirits). Live DJ (1:30 – 3:30 p.m.; A DJ spins an eclectic mix of Latin favorites, chart-topping hits, and dance anthems).
Salt + Lime Modern Mexican Grill
At this Mexican restaurant, indulge in vibrant modern Mexican cuisine and drinks, including signature tacos, cheesy enchiladas and classic margaritas. House margaritas are $7, and the restaurant continues its Chips for Charity program, where unlimited chips and salsa are just $5, with a portion of proceeds benefiting a local charity.
