20 Local Businesses + A Valley Girl Scout Donate Over 1900 Cookies to St. Vincent de Paul
By Staff | March 20, 2024
This week, one local Girl Scout and 20 Valley-based businesses donated a record-breaking 1900+ boxes of Girl Scout cookies to St. Vincent de Paul. In an effort to give back to those in need following the 2024 Girl Scouts cookie season, Dave Burns of Burns Pest Elimination gathered 20 fellow business owners – many of whom are members of the exclusive networking group, Executives Association of Greater Phoenix – to purchase over 1900 boxes of cookies from local Girl Scout Eva Riley of Troop 3886 as a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix (SVdP) and the communities they serve throughout the state.
On Monday, March 18th, Dircks Moving & Logistics delivered this massive shipment of cookies to St. Vincent De Paul via a moving truck, which SVdP will be distributing to the thousands of those in need whom they assist with feeding, clothing and housing year-round.
“This is something special we do every cookie season to give back and this year we donated a record amount to St. Vincent de Paul,” said Dave Burns, Founder of Burns Pest Elimination. “To see the Dircks moving truck pull up to deliver thousands of cookies is quite the sight and we are beyond grateful to be able to make such an impact for our surrounding communities.”
The businesses who were involved (one of which who preferred to remain anonymous) includes:
- Accram IT
- Banker Insulation
- Biddle and Brown Fence Co.
- Burns Pest Elimination
- Creative Packaging & Print
- Dave Pratt’s Star Worldwide Networks
