A pizzeria with an edgy twist on classic New York-style pizza—offered with a side of supercars—will officially celebrate its grand opening at the corner of Scottsdale and Thunderbird roads on April 12 from 6-9 p.m.
Strad Pizza is a unique concept created by entrepreneur and hospitality industry veteran Freddy Nguyen and supercar enthusiast and well-known YouTuber, James “The Stradman.”
THE MENU
The menu features homemade pizzas, available as both 20-inch pies and by the slice, as well as pizza knots with fun and quirky flavor combos such as the Cheesy Garlic Truffle Knots, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Knots and Stuffed Nutella Knots. As a nod to the traditional pizza parlor, the restaurant also offers vintage sodas and signature Strad Swirls, the concept’s take on the perfect soft serve ice cream cone.
THE ARTWORK
And then, everything at Strad Pizza ties back to a love of supercars—especially when it comes to the decor. The artwork on the walls showcases shots of some of Stradman’s favorites cars while the crown gem is a custom mural by well-known muralist and graffiti artist, Jack Soren, on the restaurant’s exterior. The expansive art piece features two of Stradman’s most iconic supercars set in a colorful desert scene.
“I love cars and I love pizza, so I’m incredibly excited to bring this new concept to Scottsdale,” says Stradman. “Nothing brings me greater joy than sharing what I love with my loyal fans. I hope that Strad Pizza will become a hub for car enthusiasts and pizza lovers alike.”
THE CREATORS
Stradman has had nearly 4.5 million subscribers and 1.1 billion views on YouTube since he began on the platform in 2012. Nguyen’s hospitality, entertainment, and branding experience includes founder of HUB 1111, serving as entertainment consultant for Gila River Resorts & Casinos, and a previous role as chief marketing officer of The Maggiore Group, helping launch concepts such as Hash Kitchen.
Strad Pizza will also offer fun, colorful, and collectible merchandise, ranging from T-shirts to plastic cups.
THE CELEBRATION
The April 12 “Cars & Pizza”-themed grand opening evening will be open to the public and will include a supercar show in partnership with presenting sponsor Highline Autos, DJ Meet 2 Nice U, pizza, and soft drinks, special Strad Pizza merch, and an appearance by The Stradman.
