New Project-84-2

After 33 years, Ann Siner, the founder and CEO of Arizona-based Eco-Chic Consignments—which operates My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic, and Well Suited—is stepping down.

Janet Walzer has been named as the new CEO, and Siner will continue on as a board member and advisor to the company.

Walzer, a San Francisco Bay Area native, has a background in luxury retail, spending the last 22 years serving in various leadership roles at high-end retailers. After studying design in London and Japan,  he most recently oversaw the West Coast divisions for Louis Vuitton and Fendi before leading several additional teams at Waterworks, a prominent and sophisticated fixture company.

“It’s impressive everything Ann has done over the last three decades to build this business and really change the face of designer re-sale shopping. She made consignment cool, and her accomplishments and dedication are the reason we are here today,” says Walzer. “I’m so thrilled to take the resale reigns and build up this great foundation and continue Ann’s work and vision, while ushering in a new era here at My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic, and Well Suited.”

Walzer’s goals for the company include growing the Eco-Chic Consignment organization by opening new locations througout California, Arizona, and in new states.

“In addition to expanding My Sister’s Closet, Well Suited, and My Sister’s Attic, we would also like to elevate, over time, the in-store shopping experience, fully utilizing new tools and technology to streamline and elevate the consignor and shopper’s experience,” she says.

Eco-Chic Consignments will also continue its focus company mission of philanthropy, supporting wildlife, animal rescues, arts and culture, and empowering women.

For Siner, her next steps include pursuing new adventures and charitable endeavors.

“I couldn’t be more thankful to all who have shopped, supported and cheered us on over the past three decades,” she says. “I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve turned this dream into a roaring success and without you, we wouldn’t be one of the country’s largest, most loved resale stores.  I’m really going to miss the highs, lows and everything in between, especially the fashion trends that come and go but most of all, I’ll miss you, the customers that have made it fun these last 33 years.”

The three brands have multiple Scottsdale locations.
