Harkins Theatres will celebrate the life and legacy of actor Richard Roundtree with a special $5 tribute showing of Shaft (1971) at 2 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 29 at select theaters.
Roundtree played John Shaft in the movie, the ultimate in suave Black detectives. He first finds himself up against Bumpy (Moses Gunn), the leader of the Black crime mob, then against Black nationals and finally working with both against the white mafia who are trying to blackmail Bumpy by kidnapping his daughter.
