Sunrise Estates sits between 84th Street and Hayden Road, south of Thunderbird Road. The southern edge of the community is located where Sweetwater Avenue would be if it did not stop west of Hayden and east of 84th Street. The lack of a major street to the south provides added privacy which appeals to residents of Sunrise Estates. Even with no exit onto Sweetwater Avenue from the 101, residents are only two miles away from access via Cactus Road.

Like many of the statelier established communities in Scottsdale, Sunrise Estates has been an evolution, with homes dating back to the late 70s, while others were built sometime in the following four decades. The larger homes in this neighborhood range from nearly 3,000 to over 4,400 square feet and offer an average of four or five bedrooms. Bathroom counts are typically in the range of three to six with a combination of full and half baths.

The median price for a home in Sunrise Estates is a bit over $2.3M. This is a very reasonable representation, as the lower end of the spectrum is near $1.2M, and the premium homes are coming in near the $3M price point. There are no association fees in the community.

Being so near the 101, homeowners enjoy an easy commute to downtown,  Sky Harbor Airport, ASU, and many of the technology hubs around the city. When it is time for an evening out, options abound, with Kierland Commons, Talking Stick Resort, and Old Town Scottsdale just a short drive away.
