The community of Quails Nest consists of large estate-style homes in an ideal location in the foothills near the east end of Pinnacle Peak Road. The large lots are typically more extensive than many of the communities in Pinnacle Peak Area 2 and lack landscaping, except for the area near the house. The remaining space is left in a natural condition to enjoy the beauty and variation of all the native plants. While the feeling is far removed from that of the city, Pima Road and easy access to the 101 Pima Freeway are only around a mile from the neighborhood. The location makes reaching downtown Phoenix, Old Town, Sky Harbor Airport, and ASU effortless.
