It's Time to get your VIP Tickets to San Francisco giants Spring Training!

The Charros Lodge, nestled in right field at the Scottsdale Stadium, features patio seating with complimentary food and drink served during San Francisco Giants spring training games. The Charros have now debuted a large shade structure that covers the entire patio. Most impressively, the materials were sourced by and installed by members of The Charros, making it a solid investment at a discounted price!

Executive Director of the Scottsdale Charros, Dennis Robbins met with us during a pre-spring training practice with the San Francisco Giants to tell us about the Charros, the newest upgrades to the Charros Lodge at Scottsdale Stadium, and the organization’s commitment to the community and its students.

Since 1996, the Charros Lodge has been a focal point of the baseball excitement at Scottsdale Stadium. Ticket sales to the Charros Lodge go to help fund various scholarships. “This is our largest fundraiser,” explains Robbins. He also says that the Scottsdale Charros lease the Scottsdale Stadium from the City of Scottsdale and then sublease to the San Francisco Giants during spring training. This year marks the 56th year the organization has hosted spring training. Initially, they hosted the A’s, then the Orioles, the Red Sox and now, the Giants.

“Buying tickets in the Charros Lodge during spring training is a VIP experience,” Robbins states. A ticket includes unlimited food and some drink tickets, plus the best views of all the baseball action. Last year’s spring training fundraiser netted $750,000, half of which went to educational scholarships, which are used at in-state schools. Various scholarships include master’s degree opportunities in teaching, national teaching board certifications and student teaching opportunities at the Mary Fulton School of Teaching at ASU.

Food on media preview day was displayed by Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Genuine Concepts Restaurants and The Living Room.

About the Scottsdale Charros

Name after the Scottsdale Charros, which has worked to promote Spring Training in Scottsdale for more than 50 years, the lodge is just one facet of many ways the organization raises funds for its year-round support of the Scottsdale Unified School District. Last year, the Scottsdale Charros awarded more than $750,000 to local charities, schools and in college scholarships and fellowships.

The Scottsdale Charros, a volunteer group of business and civic leaders, are dedicated to serving and supporting SUSD students, teachers and schools through a broad spectrum of educational programs. With a history of innovative fundraising, the Charros have leveraged spring training baseball as a chief economic driver in Scottsdale. Funds raised throughout the year are donated back to local charities, making the Charros one of the community’s largest philanthropic contributors.
