Levine Auction & Appraisal is hosting a special cocktail reception and preview event of 25 classic, antique and muscle cars in an airport hangar at Falcon Field in Mesa 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. The event, “Hops & Horsepower”, is the first of several special events that will take place through the end of the year to showcase museum-quality collectibles belonging to Fred and Elaine Goulden and other consignors prior to J. Levine’s monthly three-day auctions beginning in late September. Admission to Sept. 8 “Hops & Horsepower” cocktail reception at Falcon Field’s hangar is free, but reservations are requested by Wed., Sept. 7. Beer and light appetizers will be served during the event. Levine owner and auctioneer, says. “They were former Paradise Valley residents who were so passionate about collecting, that they moved to Coolidge for more space and turned their building into a museum more than two decades ago.”The Goulden estate collection of cars and toys will be auctioned throughout the rest of the year at J. Levine’s Scottsdale auction house located at 10345 N. Scottsdale Rd., in Scottsdale, on the southeast corner of Shea Boulevard and Scottsdale Road. The first three-day auction takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 29, 30 and October 1.
