Indiana-based candle company, Warm Glow Candles, has created two military-themed candles specifically for Helping Hands For Freedom (HHFF) that will help raise funds for the nonprofit in support of The Route for the Brave and all the programs offered by the organization. Helping Hands for Freedom was co-founded by Fairland, Indiana resident, Patrick Shannon, a two-time Purple Heart recipient and Bronze Star recipient. Both HHFF and Warm Glow Candle Company are excited about this glowing partnership!
The official launch of the two candles will come at the Helping Hands for Freedom Heroes Gala at Indiana Grand Racing and Casino on March 12. The first candle was created specifically for The Route for the Brave, a 3,000 mile foot trek across the country that will be raising money and awareness for Gold Star Families and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Gold Star Families are given the Gold Star in honor of a surviving family due to a casualty of war. The patriotic red, white and blue candle will include a Route for the Brave wristband and will be sold during the walk, at all HHFF events, and in Warm Glow’s over 2,000 wholesalers, as well as Warm Glow Candles’ two company stores in Centerville.
The second candle is the Gold Star candle which honors our fallen service men and women. It includes a dog tag and will be sold indefinitely. The American-made candle is $17.95 and $10 of the purchase prices goes to Helping Hands for Freedom. Purchase both candles on The Route for the Brave website today at www.routeforthebrave.org or on the organization’s official Facebook page.Soon, Warm Glow Candles will also have the candles available on its website at www.warmglow.com, at Warm Glow’s more than 2,000 wholesalers, and Warm Glow Candles’ two company stores in Centerville, IN.
Helping Hands for Freedom CEO Darin Fishburn welcomed the partnership. “Warm Glow, the name says it all. Warm Glow has partnered with Helping Hands for Freedom and the walk across America to create exclusive candles to benefit our Gold Star families and veterans that we serve. The candles will allow their hearts and the memory of their loved ones to glow every time one is lit,” Fishburn says.
