Craft 64 Debuts another Fantastic New Beer by Lynette Carrington Craft 64 Debuts another Fantastic New BeerIf there’s one thing that guests of Craft 64 can count in, it’s fun and creative craft beers. This week, will be the debut of Frolic! Frolic is the latest craft beer to spring forth from the creative brewership at Craft 64. Owner and brewmaster at Craft 64, James Swann explains the latest creation. “It’s a medium bodied pale ale with lots of hops and lots of hop character. It has a low alcohol content – about 4.8 percent alcohol by volume and about 60 IBUs. “All of our beers are done in partnership with SunUp Brewing Company.”Swann continues, “There’s one more beer to speak of… the winter beer, which is going to be called Wicked Winter Tail. It’s not a clone by any means, but it’s a play on the old Pete’s Wicked Winter Ale that no longer exists. It’s a hoppy brown ale with raspberry and nutmeg. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be about 25 IBUs and about 6.5 percent alcohol by volume as a true winter beer should be.” The homage to the old Pete’s Wicked Winter Ale is best enjoyed with one of Craft 64’s hand-crafted pizzas made from fresh, local ingredients. One of the newer pizzas is the “Love You Long Time” made with cherry wood smoked port, roasted red peppers, daikon, red onions and a spicy coconut aji sauce. If simple is more your speed, enjoy a tasty brick oven-fired cheese pizza or try the ever-popular blanco pizza with mozzarella, burrata, spinach and garlic. In every instance ingredients are fresh and local. It’s no wonder that Zagat rated Craft 64 as the No. 3 hottest rated restaurant in Scottsdale!
