La Strada is a gated neighborhood of larger single-family homes near Thompson Peak Parkway and Pima Road. This ideal location offers larger properties for added privacy while being very close to the 101 Pima Freeway for access to downtown, Sky Harbor Airport, and  ASU. There are also nearby well-known grocery stores, dining, and entertainment options, such as Talking Stick Resort and the Desert Botanical Garden. Residents also appreciate the many walking and hiking trails found just outside the community.

The community of La Strada was built from 2001 to 2004 and offers homes in the 5,500 to 6,000 square foot range. Four to six bedrooms are typical of the original floor plans, as are four to six full bathrooms and the possibility of a powder room. The lots are typically over half an acre, which is substantial in a more formal neighborhood like La Strada. In addition, these more spacious lots allow for more outdoor living and entertaining spaces, swimming pools, and play areas. Three or four-car attached garages are also a common theme in the community.

Natural desert spaces surround the community and separate many of the rows of houses to offer a more secluded feeling. This can account for some of the price variations in the community. The median price in La Strada is nearly $2.5M, while some of the most ideally located lots are reaching $3M or more. The community fees are just under $2K per year to contribute to the care of the common spaces and professional management of the community.
