Pony Express Arrival 2026

On Sunday, Jan. 28, more than 20 riders from the Navajo County Sheriff’s Posse will begin their journey from Holbrook, Arizona, carrying pen pal letters exchanged by school-aged children across the state. Their ride concludes on Friday, Jan. 30, as they travel through Old Town Scottsdale and gather in front of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West for a patriotic ceremony and celebration. Mayor Borowsky will welcome the riders, with the morning hosted by Scottsdale History Hall of Fame inductee Denny Brown.

During the event, visitors can participate in the Postcard Express, presented by Scottsdale Artists’ School. This hands-on activity invites guests to create collage-style postcards that can be mailed or kept as a meaningful keepsake.
