Desert Village is a small gated community near Pima and Pinnacle Peak Roads. The community is within walking distance of a well-known grocery chain, pharmacy, and other essentials. However, the area is far more peaceful and quiet than the neighborhoods in the heart of the city. Exceptional views of the mountains to the east and the Pinnacle Peak Golf Club to the west add to the beauty of the area and its value. Families appreciate that this ideal community is located in the 85255 zip code and Scottsdale Unified School District. Students attend nearby Copper Ridge Elementary and Middle School, then complete their education at Chaparral High School.

The homes in the Desert Village Community were mainly built between 1996 and 1999. These very desirable homes range in size from just over 1,400 to more than 1,800 square feet and feature two or three bedrooms. Many homeowners use the third bedroom as a home office, gym, or library when a third bedroom is not essential. Two full bathrooms are the most common option, while some houses offer a partial bath in addition to the full baths. Two-car attached garages are also the typical fare in these family-friendly homes.

Pricing in the community starts in the low to mid-$500K range, with the median price coming in closer to the low $600K price point. Homes on larger irregular lots tend to be valued slightly high and can break into the low $700K range. The community fees are $400 per quarter and fund the front yard landscape maintenance, care of the common property in the neighborhood, and access to the neighborhood swimming pool.
