The Desert Views community in Troon is south of Jomax Road and east of Alma School Parkway. This Shea Homes neighborhood boasts views of Pinnacle Peak, McDowell Mountain, Troon Mountain, and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. With just under two hundred homes in the community, there are ample playmates for children while not feeling as restricted and congested as communities in the city. Children enjoy attending the neighborhood Cave Creek Unified Schools and then Cactus Shadow High School.
The houses in Desert Views were built in the late 1990s by one of the most respected home builders in the Valley. Homes range from around 1,500 to over 2,100 square feet and typically feature two or three bedrooms. Two or three full baths are the most common floorplan. While the lots are less than a quarter acre, they provide ample space for a family swimming pool, extended patio space, or play area for children or pets. In addition, the many cul-de-sacs help keep the traffic reasonable and safe for children to enjoy the neighborhood’s open spaces.
The prices in the Desert Views community are very reasonable for the area. Some of the smaller homes are in the high $600s to mid $700s, making them perfect for growing families who love the natural feel of the community. The high end of the scale reaches between $850 to just over $900. Association fees are amazingly affordable at less than $300 per year for care of the community common spaces.
