Postino WineCafé’s iconic bruschetta is throwing down this summer with the second annual Battle of The Bruschetta, a summer-long, bracket-style competition between four limited-time bruschetta recipes.
There are four out-of-the-box innovative bruschetta creations vying for the champion title: French Onion (roasted garlic aioli, gruyere, braised white onions, melted brie), Buffalo Cauliflower (buffalo cauliflower, cambozola ranch yogurt, celery, chives), Philly Cheesesteak (roasted garlic aioli, chopped steak, caramelized onion and peppers, fondue, chili oil), and one perfect for those with a sweet tooth, the Berry Mascarpone is made with blackberry mascarpone, graham cracker streusel, macerated blueberry, lemon, and powdered sugar.
The competition begins July 1, with each “battle” running for 30 days. The finals begin Sept. 1, with the champion crowned on Sept. 16. During each battle, you can order two competing bruschetta flavors and vote on their favorite by texting “BATTLE” to 602.637.1510 for each round. Last year, more than 28,600 votes were recorded from across the country—the restaurant, which launched in the Valley, now has 25 locations across five states—crowning “Mexican Street Corn” the winner, and earning it a spot on the current Postino menu.
The champion bruschetta will earn a permanent spot on the Postino menu this fall.
All competing bruschetta were created by Postino executive chefs.
