Kincaid Financial Advisors Transitions to Wilde Wealth Management Group; $6,000 Contribution Made to Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona to Honor John Kincaid
Kincaid Financial Advisors, located at 6486 AZ-179 in Sedona, has formally merged with Scottsdale’s own Wilde Wealth Management Group, an award-winning independent financial services firm that provides comprehensive retirement, investment, real estate, insurance, legal and tax planning services all under one roof. Through the partnership, Kincaid is now formally Wilde Wealth Management Group in Sedona. There are now Wilde offices in Scottsdale – which doubled its HQ from 6,000 to 12,000 square feet last year despite the pandemic – Glendale, Tempe, Tucson, Payson, San Luis Obispo, and a satellite office in Indiana.
“This celebration is bittersweet as we are also using it as a way to honor John Kincaid, a long-time personal friend of mine and beloved business and community leader in Sedona who passed away in late 2021,” says Trevor Wilde, MBA, AIF®, founder and CEO of Wilde Wealth Management. “To honor John through our formal transition, we were proud to invite the Community Foundation of Sedona, where John served as president for six years, to visit the new office and accept a $6,000 donation in John’s memory.”
Kincaid and Wilde first met in 2007 at a financial conference, hitting it off after being seated together and learning we were both Arizona-based advisors.
“Over the years, we became very close, both personally and professionally, sharing the same vision and values in both in life and business. In 2014, when John decided to put a succession plan in place, we spoke immediately, eager to work together,” says Wilde.
According to Wilde, in the years since and outside of social calls and professional events, he and Kincaid met regularly to continuously update the partnership agreement to ensure Kincaid’s team and clients were always top of mind, with the most recent meeting October 2021.
“Although his passing was sudden and unexpected, John did not leave his firm or clients without direction. The partnership was put in place to ensure that clients and friends would always be protected in the event something happened to John, and we have been working with clients for the past nine months to ensure a smooth, seamless transition,” says Wilde.
Kincaid’s entire Sedona team remains in their same roles, and there will be no interruption of service to any clients in the area.
Jason Fial, an independent investment adviser representative with Wilde Wealth Management Group, is already working with clients actively focusing on wealth management, retirement income planning and asset protection planning while continuing to provide exceptional service to all clients.
“We are also actively working on a future volunteer effort in Sedona in John’s memory; one where we can involve our team as well as clients,” says Wilde.
In addition to Fial, the Sedona team will continue to work closely with Trevor Wilde himself, who was recently named to Barron’s annual list of top 1,200 advisors nationwide and No. 2 overall in Arizona. This is Wilde’s 14th consecutive year being honored and highest ranking to date.
According to Wilde, who founded Wilde Wealth Management Group with his father, Bill, in 2003, the mission for the Sedona team as well as the rest of its offices across Arizona and Indiana is two-fold: to offer boutique, customized investment planning advice, and to offer clients expanded in-house service offerings from fellow independent specialists in the fields of legal, taxes, risk management, family services, real estate and insurance.
“Together, the team is able to not only take all the pieces of a client’s financial puzzle and organize them, but use them to build a solid foundation that will serve not just the client, but his/her family for generations to come,” says Wilde, who in 2018 was honored as among the Most Admired Leaders in Arizona by the Phoenix Business Journal, and has been among the Top 15 Advisors out of more than 1,200 Cetera Advisors annually since 2012.
