As of the end of 2024, nearly 90,000 BTR units were under construction across the U.S. With this rapid increase in demand for build-to-rent communities increasing, combined with a push for more earth-friendly designs, it is no wonder that Scottsdale-based MODUS Companies – who is investing $425M to bring 1,030 NZE build-to-rent units to the Arizona market in the coming year – was recently featured on “Viewpoint”, a nationally syndicated show hosted by actor Dennis Quaid.
On this episode of “Viewpoint,” MODUS Companies Founder Ed Gorman discusses a variety of topics affecting the real estate industry today. And his episode in particular will be aired throughout 2025 on over 170 participating Public Television stations throughout the U.S. – including CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, TLC, Travel, and Discovery.
“What we have been working on for decades [Net Zero Energy technologies and design] is now becoming commonplace in build-to-rent and multifamily housing,” said Ed Gorman, Founder of MODUS Companies. “To see these innovations now getting national attention is so hopeful and we’re looking forward to seeing more communities across the U.S. prioritize these earth-friendly solutions.”
The episode, which you can view here, focuses on the transition to Net Zero Energy (NZE) houses and the increase of “Built to Rent” (BTR) properties, along with other innovations and advances.
“Through its collaboration with MODUS Companies, a leading innovator in the homebuilding sector, the program aims to highlight the transformative potential of NZE houses and BTR properties in meeting the growing demand for sustainable and affordable housing solutions,” a representative from “Viewpoint” noted.
MODUS Companies, a leader in homebuilding innovation, is reshaping the industry by integrating cutting-edge technologies and design principles to deliver energy-efficient, affordable housing. An innovation that Gorman proudly notes isn’t just beneficial for the environment but also the renter or homeowner, who can pay up to 50-70% less on utility bills.
