Mignon Gould, Founder of FashFilmFete

In honor of the upcoming Women’s Equality Day, W Scottsdale is continuing to amplify the voice of women who challenge the status quo with the return of its annual What She Said speaker series on August 24th, featuring Mignon Gould, a fashion + film afficionado, long-time journalist and the founder of FashFilmFete at Phoenix Art Museum.

The latest installment of The Modern Day Wife's female-driven event What She Said will take place on Thursday, August 24 from 3-8 p.m. at the W Scottsdale and will feature an evening of empowering and educational conversations with celebrities, creators, CEOs, designers and founders - like Gould - who are breaking the mold, pushing the limits and inspiring others along the way.

The successful panelists alongside Gould include Audrina Patridge, the American television personality, model and actress, Polly Brindle of Selling the OC, and Emmy Award-Winning Journalist, AZ Family TV Host Yetta Gibson. In addition to hearing from the celebrity panel, attendees will enjoy a fashion show, beauty tutorial and exclusive pop-up shops with over-the-top photo opportunities to capture the dynamic evening.

“We are honored to host another inspiring and engaging installment of What She Said at W Scottsdale with our partners at Modern Day Wife,” said Anna Ly-Luu, marketing manager, W Scottsdale. “We are excited to continue spotlighting remarkable women who are making a difference in their communities and host an evening packed with real and honest conversations and celebrate women empowerment across all industries and backgrounds.”

What She Said is a W Hotels & Resorts branded series featuring conversations among women that celebrate individuality, inclusivity and honesty, tackling the issues of today from work, love, play and everything in between. The platform offers a safe space to drive progress in the gender equality movement and cultivate community with open conversations that inspire, educate and enlighten.

“Our goal with FashFilmFete is to highlight underrepresented voices in film and fashion, which is so well aligned with the W Scottsdale and Modern Day Wife's Speaker Series," said Mignon Gould, Founder of FashFilmFete. "It's an honor to be on the panel and I look forward to sharing more about our upcoming festival, the costume designers we will be celebrated and the filmmakers we will be showcased."
