It’s Back! The Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest Returns for Year Two

For those who love burgers, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers just announced it will once again hold its Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest.

A qualifying round will be held on Sat., June 15, at each of the restaurant’s 17 Arizona locations, with just 10 spots available at each location. The winner from each of those will then continue on to the finale, which will be held on the main stage at the popular holiday Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The qualifying round lasts 10 minutes, and each contestant will be given water as the only beverage, au jus for dunking, and 20 cheeseburger sliders.

For the championship round, the allotment per contestant is upped to 30 cheeseburger sliders. At both the preliminary round and the July 4 finale, the winner will be whoever finishes all sliders in the fastest time or consumes the most sliders within the allotted 10 minutes. Each slider combines a toasted bun, American cheese, ground chuck patty, and caramelized onions; no substitutions are allowed.
