HonorHealth to Participate in Mass Casualty Exercise on Jan. 10

As part of Arizona’s emergency preparedness plan.
What: HonorHealth is participating in the Mass Casualty Tracking & Reunification an Arizona Collaborative (MCTRAC), a multi-jurisdictional full-scale emergency response drill, in preparation for multiple large-scale tourist attraction events taking place in the Valley including Super Bowl LVII, The Waste Management Open and Barrett Jackson.
More than 200 participants, volunteers and support personnel, will make up the comprehensive training exercise to demonstrate active response capabilities, coordination and communications during mass casualty situations, while identifying factors that may hinder successful coordination between agencies in the future.
When: Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023. 9:00AM Where: Giants Scottsdale Stadium, 7408 E Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 Why: These simulations acknowledge the grim reality that a mass casualty events could happen anywhere, at any time. The purpose of the training is to educate, train and maintain safety proficiencies and partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders within the city of Scottsdale. The scenarios are created to be a learning environment for public safety personnel and staff from partner organizations. HonorHealth collaborates with other agencies every single year with hands-on exercises like this to ensure our emergency preparedness and response teams across Arizona are on top of the latest protocols in case of mass casualty events.
