FEATURE FRIDAY: Cecilia Berkley’s Unique Holistic Spa and Wellness Offerings Draw Women (and Celebrities) From Around the Country
By Michelle Glicksman | July 21, 2023
Cecilia Berkley draws from a rich background of motivating and inspiring women. She spent years as a local media personality, owning the production company that produced the Valley’s first Spanish-language talk show. She also owned a modeling academy that trained girls in etiquette and produced fashion shows.
“I have always had a passion for helping and educating women,” she says.
Today, Berkley is the CEO and founder of Cecilia Berkley Holistic Spa and Corazon Organic Beauty. She is a holistic aesthetician-facialist, herbalist, and a certified holistic therapist whose approach to holistic beauty and wellness provides a mix of innovative technology and European techniques. Her spa draws everyone from locals to women from around the country, including a long list of celebrities.
What is Cecilia Holistic Spa?
Cecilia Berkley Holistic Spa is not your typical “spa.” We focus on creating a peaceful place for women to pause and get a true beautifying and healing experience. Our beautiful location in the shadow of Pinnacle Peak allows women to release the tensions of the world and daily life. We utilize manual lymphatic drainage techniques [that I have] perfected, facial sculpting, and facial muscle toning and lifting. These techniques release built-up toxins in your face and whole body.
You opened it because …
I am driven by my passion for holistic beauty and to help others have a more glowing and beautiful skin from within.
Why is wellness so important to you?
I found my zest and purpose in life through holistic wellness, and that is why it is so important to me to share with others.
You created your own line of products …
My products are “Gourmet Holistic Skin Super Foods” and are intended to nourish your skin. They are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. I chose the word Corazon, which means heart in Spanish, as the name of my line because it embodies the love and care I pour into creating each formula—from conducting extensive research to sourcing pure, exotic ingredients from around the world.
Unable to find true holistic, organic products that were up to my standards of efficacy, quality, and purity, I set out to create my own skincare line designed for women seeking high-quality nourishment for their skin without sacrificing their health and well-being. Corazon Products are pure, organic, and truly holistic.
What is one thing you make sure you do for yourself every day?
I always start my day at the spa with meditation and being grateful for everything in my life.
Any favorite places around Scottsdale?
Has to be the food! Ocean 44 and too many others to name.
Motto you live by?
Don’t ever stop dreaming, think big, and believe in yourself.
