Arizona Supreme Court Appoints Radix Law Managing Partner to Committee on Alternative Business Structures
By Michelle Glicksman | January 15, 2023
Radix Law is pleased to announce that Andy Kvesic has been appointed as a Member of the Arizona Committee on Alternative Business Structures (ABS). Committee Members are responsible for reviewing ABS applications for licensure and making licensure recommendations to the Arizona Supreme Court.
“Two years ago my business partners and I embarked on a mission to revolutionize the law firm model, improve the lives of attorneys, and increase access to justice for our clients by forming an ABS through Radix Law. I am grateful to be part of this Committee and help other lawyers and innovators achieve the same dream,” said Kvesic.
The ABS Committee is comprised of retired judges, non-lawyer business owners, experts in attorney ethics, and experienced attorneys with deep knowledge of the ABS regulations. Each month, the Committee considers applications that have been vetted by the ABS Staff and votes on whether to recommend approval to the Arizona Supreme Court. The Court then issues its final decision on who is granted licensure. As of December 2022, there have been 39 ABS licenses issued to law firms providing a diverse set of legal and professional services. Jason Pritchett, President and Partner at Radix Law, sees this appointment as a testament to what Radix Law has accomplished as an ABS law firm and its contributions to the Arizona legal community. “In a short time, our attorneys and clients have experienced so many unique benefits of combining lawyer and non- lawyer ownership in a law firm. We look forward to maintaining standards of excellence in our legal community through the continued growth of the ABS model in Arizona and across the country.”
Kvesic began his legal career at a private law firm and later worked in public service as a prosecutor and general counsel. His experience includes litigation, criminal matters, appellate matters, government and regulatory affairs, and counseling businesses of all types. Kvesic also serves on the Arizona Supreme Court’s Attorney Regulation Advisory Committee. His term on the ABS Committee will last from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025.
