“We design each dinner to feel like stepping into a hidden world,” says Ivan Jacobo, owner and chef of the fine-dining restaurant Anhelo in Downtown Scottsdale. “From the seasonal ingredients to the thoughtful and sought-after wine pairings, every detail is meant to create a moment our guests will remember long after the night ends.”
While Jacobo always aims to create memorable meals, he’s referring to his newly announced, exceptionally rare lineup of December holiday wine dinners. The intimate events—limited to just 10 guests each—feature some of the most coveted wines, winemakers, and luxuries found anywhere in the world. They are held in Anhelo’s private dining room, or on select evenings, in the open-air courtyard.
“This series showcases some of the most exceptional wines we’ve ever had the privilege to present,” Wine Director Ryan Ansell adds. “Tables this small with winemakers of this stature are almost unheard of, even in the world’s finest dining capitals, making these nights among the most exclusive culinary experiences offered in the Southwest.”
The series includes the following.
Fairchild Estate Wine Dinner
Thurs., Dec. 4: Private dining room
Five courses | six wines | $500 per person
The holiday series opens with Fairchild Estate (Stones), a wine that encompasses luxurious excellence. Hosted by the Napa Valley Winery, the evening features five courses paired with six wines, including its knockout and highly allocated Chardonnay to the award-winning, perfect score(s) single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. 5 p.m.: Available (2 seats)
An Evening With Michael Browne (founder of Kosta Browne) — Featuring CIRQ & CHEV
Fri., Dec. 5: Private dining room
Five courses | five wines + champagne | $400 per person
A master of Pinot Noir comes to Scottsdale. Michael Browne, the visionary who co-founded Kosta Browne before launching his pinnacle singular expression Pinot Noir masterpiece CIRQ, followed by the beautiful expressions of CHEV Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, brings an electrifying Russian River Valley experience to Anhelo.
- CIRQ: A small-batch, single-vineyard obsession of Pinot Noir. Restless artistry electrified by the region’s finest soils. Pure excellence in a glass
- CHEV: A wonderful journey through Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, rooted in Browne’s “Garden of Eden,” yet bold enough to explore terroirs beyond
Guests will indulge in:
- A meticulously crafted five-course tasting menu
- Wines scoring 94 – 99 points
- Bubbles to begin the evening
- A 10-year library wine released from Michael Browne’s private vault, just for this event
This dinner represents one of the most exclusive California Burgundy events, blending Browne’s cult-level craftsmanship with Anhelo’s culinary precision in a setting designed for true collectors.
5 p.m.: OpenTable (2 seats)
Caviar & Champagne — A Night of Pure Decadence
Thurs., Dec. 11: Exclusive One-Night Experience
Six courses | five premier Champagnes | 3 oz. caviar | $600 per person
Prepare yourself for an evening of unapologetic, almost hedonistic decadence, an immersion into glittering luxury, where taste, texture, and extravagance collide. Nearly $2,000 of Champagne and caviar takes center stage, yet Anhelo is offering it at nearly cost as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for welcoming the restaurant to Old Town Scottsdale.
- The caviar alone, one of the most exquisite to ever reach the US, the same product served in the world’s three-Michelin-star restaurants, makes its Arizona debut at Anhelo
- Several of the Champagnes featured would be $1,500 per bottle on a standard restaurant menu
The evening includes:
- Six luxurious courses designed to elevate every nuance of caviar, start to finish
- Five Marquee Champagnes selected for precision, elegance, and celebratory brilliance
- Opportunity to purchase the same caviar tins, sourced directly from a Michelin-level global purveyor rarely accessible to the public
