After a 15-year run in Downtown Scottsdale, Sushi Roku will be closing its current location inside the W Scottsdale later this summer. With their lease ending in July, Sushi Roku’s ownership decided to focus on its other current locations and pipeline of expansion in other cities, they shared.
Sushi Roku’s current location will close after the dinner service on July 31. The hotel’s ownership will then take over the space and launch an all-new, all-day restaurant, retaining much of the Sushi Roku staff.
Since opening in September 2008, Sushi Roku’s stylish design and innovative menu have won countless awards, and the company and team have been involved in the local community, including celebrations and fundraisers such as Devour Culinary Classic, The Original Taste, and Scottsdale Culinary Festival.
The restaurant was led by the LA-based Innovative Dining Group, which also launched Boa Steakhouse, Katana, Robata Bar, B Grill and Pacific Grill. The company says it hopes to come back to the Metro Phoenix market again in the future, possibly with Sushi Roku or its Boa Steakhouse concept.
