Face it—it’s hot outside. And dry summer heat (not to mention, oops, too much sun), can do a number on your skin. Or maybe you’re just looking for an overall way to cool down, while relaxing and pampering yourself. Here, three facials from local spas that truly let you “chill out.”

Cryotherapy Energizing Facial
Locals are driving from all over the Valley to the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North for this newest treatment, which is part of an exclusive partnership with the cutting-edge, London-based 111SKIN (its doctor-driven skin care line is a favorite at Harrod’s). The Four Seasons Scottsdale is the only spa in Arizona to offer two new specialty facials from the brand.
This one uses cooled, purified air for a revitalizing, energizing effect that increases microcirculation. The 90-minute treatment also incorporates 111 SKIN products. The end result? Reduced puffiness and skin that’s detoxified and brightened, leaving a complexion that radiates.

Desert Calming Facial
You’re in the desert, so why not embrace it? The Spa at Camelback Inn at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa utilizes locally sourced ingredients and harnesses the therapeutic benefits of the desert for its treatments.
The 60-minute Desert Calming Facial begins with a deep skin cleansing ritual complete with exfoliation and skin hydration. Then, the spa’s Infinite Chill beauty globes are used to help relax and ease away stresses, while visibly calming the skin, toning and sculpting the complexion.

Frozen C Ice Facial
Who wouldn’t want reduced redness, less inflammation, and hydrated and glowing skin? The Frozen C Ice Facial at Arizona Facial Plastics P.C. uses a targeted jet of carbon-dioxide gas to rapidly cool the skin, causing the blood vessels in the face to alternately constrict and dilate.
This cool, relaxing treatment lasts an hour. It begins with an exfoliating enzyme that prepares the skin, as well as a deep ultrasonic exfoliation. A custom-tailored serum is then infused into the skin with the Frozen C jet stream. The treatment finishes with the application of an ultra-hydrating hydrojelly mask and red-light therapy.
The result? Glowing, refreshed, and even-toned skin.
$199 per treatment; a package of three for $499 (summer pricing); 3102 E. Indian School Road, Ste. 140, Phoenix
