Get ready to suit up and strap into an epic virtual reality (VR) faceoff! Octane Raceway, Scottsdale’s entertainment venue for high-speed kart racing, virtual reality, and axe throwing, is hosting a Velocity VR squad tournament on Sun., April 30. Participants will compete in a championship tournament in teams of four in the popular VR title, “Sol Raiders.” “Sol Raiders” is set in a post-apocalyptic scenario where the mission is to search for new worlds. Players must collect “sol power” to survive and achieve game objectives.
Get your adrenaline pumping and practice your skills ahead of the tournament with $15 off Sol Raiders VR Mondays through Thursdays until April 27. Use promo code “SOL15” when booking a practice round of “Sol Raiders.”
The tournament allows teams of four or individual players to be placed with a group to compete against each other for an ultimate grand prize of $1,000.
Octane Raceway recently upgraded its VR system with state-of-the-art hardware, VR gun,s and headsets, which are all available for use during the “Sol Heist” tournament and practice sessions. The new collaboration with Zero Latency VR offers players the deepest, most effortless immersive experience with no backpack computers, sensors, or other distractions.
