The art- and design-central festival Desert Design Week, which launched in October 2024 and held a spring event in April 2025, is back for its second year.
Desert Design Week (DDW) will return Oct. 8-15, offering a selection of unique, immersive design, art, and architecture experiences. Events will feature both established and emerging artists, designers, and creatives through a range of ticketed and free events across Phoenix and Scottsdale.
The spring series brought together over 1,300 attendees for 13 events, providing guests with access to a curated selection of artist receptions, pop-up art galleries, designer markets, and an architectural home tour.
“We’ve seen an incredible response to Desert Design Week and have some special experiences planned for October’s event series,” says Desert Design Week creator Ruth Price. “The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation will be opening the vault to share art from the personal Wright family collection for the first time. Attendees will be inspired by open studio tours, panel discussions, art and design exhibitions, and more. We have some in-the-works events that will be shared when details are finalized.”
The Fall 2025 DDW lineup includes:
- Two events hosted by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation at Taliesin West, featuring never-before-seen art from the Wright family’s personal collection
- Art exhibitions at Red Modern, Camelback Flower Shop, and Local Nomad.
- Tea tasting and ikebana floral arrangement experience featuring hand-thrown vessels crafted by ceramicist Betina Chow and hosted by Amy Williams in her studio, The Bodega.
- A conversation with nationally and internationally recognized design luminaries Molly Kidd, Studio SGT, and the team at Rose Uniacke, hosted in collaboration with Galerie Town.
- An immersive design experience at Wiseman & Gale Interiors.
- A conversation and studio experience with Green Room Landscape Architecture.
- Select artist studio tours.
