Those looking for another place to cool off this summer—or during the year—can now head to McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park for its newly unveiled splash pad.
The 5,000-square-foot splash pad was the most requested improvement from the public. It was identified during the master planning process as a key addition that would increase park usage and provide recreation opportunities in the summer. McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is Scottsdale’s signature park.
A 10,000-square-foot building, The Roundhouse, is currently under construction and slated to open soon. The building will include an indoor play structure in the shape of a locomotive engine. It will also house a multipurpose room.
Other park improvements include a new entry plaza, new restrooms, new park pathways, exterior lighting, and shade trees.
Construction on the work began in mid-April 2024.
