Legendary dining destination Durant’s Steakhouse, which opened in 1950 and has been closed for renovations after being acquired by the ownership team behind Valley staples Dominick’s Steakhouse, Steak 44, and Ocean 44, is hosting a month-long hiring event. There are 135 positions available, including:
• Servers
• Bartenders
• Server Assistants
• Hosts/Hostesses
• Food Runners
• Line Cooks
• Prep Cooks
• Dishwashers
• Porters
The ownership team includes James Beard-nominated brothers Mike and Jeff Mastro, along with their father Dennis Mastro and longtime business partner Scott Troilo.
“As we look to honor the incredible legacy of Durant’s while preparing it for its next 75 years, building an exceptional team is one of the most important steps,” says Jeff Mastro. “Hiring 135 people is not just an investment in the future of Durant’s—it’s an investment in the local economy and the hospitality community here in Phoenix.”
The renovations include upgrading the kitchen while preserving the signature look, feel, and charm of the iconic dining room.
