Top wiffle ball talent from across the nation will take the field at Scottsdale Stadium this fall for the sixth annual installment of Big League Wiffle Ball’s Western Wiffle Ball Classic, organizers have announced. Taking place at the springtime home of the San Francisco Giants, this year’s Classic will feature intense match-ups, fan-favorite teams, and some of the fastest wiffle ball pitchers in the nation as they compete for the Western Wiffle Ball Classic trophy.

The  Event

Set for 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 25 at 7408 E. Osborn Road, Scottsdale, this year’s classic will continue to shine a spotlight on the league founded in 2020 by then-16-year-old Logan Rose as a way to encourage outdoor and physical activity during the pandemic.

The league has since grown substantially in size and scope, and continues to draw both top wiffle ball players from across the United States—as well as enthusiastic crowds to cheer them on. Last year, Big League Wiffle Ball’s Final Four took place under the dome at AT&T Stadium (the home of the Dallas Cowboys), showcasing just how far the league has come in just a few short years.

“When we launched this league, we wanted to give people something to look forward to and a way to stay active during an uncertain time,” says Rose. “Now, it’s grown into one of the most exciting and best-attended amateur sporting events in the United States, and the Western Wiffle Ball Classic is where you can see it all come to life.”

Teams playing in the Western Wiffle Ball Classic have between three and five players and register to compete in either the Recreational or Competitive divisions, with strike zone dimensions, pitching distances, and eligible equipment among the key differences between them. The top team in each division then walks away with championship honors and a permanent place in Western Wiffle Ball Classic history.

Top Players

In addition to featuring teams from across the nation, this year’s Western Wiffle Ball Classic will also welcome several particularly high-profile players, including Las Vegas, Nevada’s Jordan Bohnet and New York’s Jordan Robles. Bohnet earned top honors last year as Big League Wiffleball’s 2024 Series MVP and Cy Young Award winner, throwing a shutout at last year’s championship game at AT&T Stadium in Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. Robles, a former national champion and one of the league’s most decorated and recognizable players, played an instrumental part in moving the Big League Wiffle Ball tournament forward and will return to the Western Wiffle Ball Classic for the fourth consecutive year. He was the recipient of the Big League Wifle Ball 2024 “Silver Slugger” award.

In addition to the tournament itself, this year’s Western Wiffle Ball Classic will also include a Home Run Derby, giving players a chance to showcase their power at the plate as they compete for a separate trophy.
