Ok, so what IS evolvedMD?

EvolvedMD is a venture-backed healthcare company committed to increasing access and reducing stigma for mental health. Though our collaborative care model, we integrate and embed licensed clinicians into primary care, creating a powerful and impactful team of professionals focused patients mental and physical health.

EvolvedMD is at the forefront of innovation. What makes your collaborative care model such a game-changer for behavioral health?

The model is unique because it places mental health professionals right in primary care offices. This allows patients to receive mental health care where they are most comfortable.

We are building a new healthcare system … one that is integrated, collaborative, and above all, focused on patient outcomes.

What’s your biggest priority right now as chief of staff and vice president, investor relations?

The company is currently raising our Series B round of funding, so most of my time is spent speaking to potential and current investors and moving everything forward to ensure we close. I also lead our company’s strategic planning, so I am also focusing on keeping our executive team and the teams they lead laser-focused on attracting the right top talent, producing great patient outcomes, and ensuring major logos want to partner with us on impactful care.

You serve on several boards, supporting everything from the arts to workforce development. What drives your passion for community involvement?

Being from the Valley, I am driven to make this place the best to live, work, and play. From entrepreneur support to workforce development, to education, to arts and culture, I know that we can be a top tier metro area and the work I do in the community is always to support that.

You often speak at both local and national events. What message are you most passionate about sharing?

I love speaking about the business case for mental health and why companies and leaders should care about the well being and wellness of their employees. I also am passionate about helping executives understand the power in culture: the right questions to ask, the right approach to engagement, how to support difficult conversations. How you show up is so important.

You’re known for staying active—what’s your favorite Scottsdale workout or fitness spot?

Barry’s Bootcamp!

What’s your go-to travel destination when you need to recharge?

This is going to sound strange but Baltimore. My best friend from high school (shoutout North High School in Central Phoenix) lives there and I go there at least once a year to hang out, do nothing, sleep, and just … be.

Favorite healthy meal?

Roasted chicken at The Henry.

Favorite cheat meal?

Two beef tacos and a tamale from Julio’s Too.

One thing we’d be surprised to learn about you?

I prefer being at home with terrible reality TV than being out and about.
