Only U.S. Marathon Designed for Women to Be Held This Year in Scottsdale
By Michelle Glicksman | March 18, 2025

The only U.S. marathon designed for women, by women, will be held in Scottsdale on Nov. 16, 2025.
Team Milk’s Every Woman’s Marathon held its inaugural marathon in 2024 in Savannah, Georgia, with a goal to “get more women out there, experiencing the sense of joy and community that comes with completing a marathon.”
“Team Milk has embarked on a multi-year journey to champion women marathon runners,” says Miranda Abney, vice president consumer marketing MilkPEP. “We started supporting women runners at major US marathons in 2022 and have since built a community of 30,000-plus strong and launched our own Every Woman’s Marathon in 2024, after engaging with the running community, actively listening to women runners’ aspirations, challenges, and desires on their path to conquering 26.2 miles.”
The final race map for the Scottsdale event will be released in summer 2025, but the finish line will be in Old Town Scottsdale. The course’s time limit will be 7 hours and 45 minutes. There will also be an expo held in Old Town Scottsdale on Fri., Nov. 14 and Sat., Nov. 15.
“Scottsdale isn’t just a stunning backdrop for race day—it’s a destination. From breathtaking desert views to vibrant local culture, this city offers the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Team Milk is excited for marathon runners to cross the finish line and celebrate with new and old friends under the Arizona sun. Here are four other reasons we chose this amazing city: More space means more women coming together, more connections, and a stronger community to uplift one another; perfect running weather and a welcoming, friendly vibe; easy travel with Phoenix airport nearby, plus tons of hotel options; and spacious expo and finish line festival to soak in the post-race magic and some delicious chocolate milk.”
Last year’s race sold out with 7,000 participants and this year’s Scottsdale event is also expected to draw thousands of runners and spectators. In fact, the number of max sign-ups has been raised for this year.
Early bird pricing is available through March 31 and is $95 or a discount to $80 for Team Milk—as milk is the original performance beverage—members; it increases after until the race sells out.
