Craving a margarita or a glass of wine? Drinking one at The Mexicano and The Italiano, respectively, will help raise critical funds for a cause.
Prolific chef and restaurateur Chef Joey Maggiore—who is behind such popular concepts as The Mexicano, The Italiano, Hash Kitchen, and The Sicilian Butcher, among others—along with his family and the teams at The Italiano and The Mexicano, are spearheading a campaign to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Over the next 10 weeks, they are donating a portion of margarita sales at The Mexicano and wine sales at The Italiano to benefit The Leukiemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Chef Joey’s daughter, Giuliana, who is currently fighting stage one lymphoma.
“The fundraiser is something close to my family because we want to raise awareness and money to help beat this terrible disease,” says Chef Joey. “It affected our beautiful, amazing daughter Giuliana at 24. She was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma and is currently fighting to kick cancer’s ass. We know she will beat it, so now we want to be leaders and help everyone fight it.”
Patrons will not only be helping raise funds for LLS, but also showing support for the Maggiore family during this difficult time.
