Barbie Mania Hits Local Hot Spots: Themed Brunches, Parties, a Cocktail, and a Spa Treatment

It’s an ode to Barbie this month here in the Valley.

In honor of the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling that opens in theaters on July 21, several local destinations are celebrating with Barbie-themed events and special items.

Wine Girl

Kick off the festivities at Wine Girl, which is collaborating with Belle Glos to throw a Barbie-themed party on Thurs., July 27 from 5-8 p.m. In addition to Barbie-décor, photo opps, giveaways, and themed-drink specials including wine towers, there will be an ice luge pouring Belle Glos Rosé. Meanwhile, The Hamptons-inspired locale The Montauk is celebrating with an all-things-pink Barbie-themed brunch. On Fri., July 21, arrive dressed in pink for a Malibu Barbie-themed brunch. The menu includes options such as Barbie’s World Berrys & Cream Crepes, and drink specials such as Barbie Mimosas, Barbie Dreams martinis, and a pink mimosa tower garnished with pink cotton candy. Weekend drink specials range from $5 Pink Sprinkle Jello Shots to $15 Disco Barbie cocktails. Doors open at 9 a.m.; limited availability. The Hot Chick

This weekend, Barbie is also making her way to The Hot Chick. The neighborhood bar with throwback vibes is showcasing Barbie-themed brunches and drink specials. On Sat., July 22, there is a Barbie-themed Hot Girl Summer Brunch, while on Sun., July 23, it’s a “Peace, Love & Barb”-themed drag brunch, hosted by Barbara Seville, with special guests. This “Barbie’s dream cocktail” shareable drink for two at Hash Kitchen features coconut rum, pineapple, cranberry, orange, grenadine, and High Noon Lime Vodka—served in a purse-shaped cocktail glass, of course.
