The Desert Homes neighborhood offers larger homes on spacious lots. The community is ideal for raising a family in a quiet but well-located area. Sitting south of Cholla Street between 52nd Street and 54the Street, residents have easy access to Tatum Boulevard for fast access to move south into the city between Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountain. This surface street is a must for commuters when the traffic on the 51 is heavy during rush hour.

The homes in the area were built in the mid to late 1980s and offer three to four bedrooms in the smaller floor plans and six or more in the largest homes. Most homes fall into the 2,700 to 3,800 square foot range. However, some that have undergone complete renovations are much larger. Therefore, pricing in the area genuinely depends on the level of upgrades these older homes have undergone. Houses that have had only minor cosmetic updates are in the high $300s, while homes that have been fully updated and reconfigured to offer open spaces and flexible living are reaching well over the $4M mark.
