This Feature Friday, we check in with Melissa Maggiore Meyer.

Meyer's passion for food and wine began from traveling extensively with her father, restauranter Tomaso Maggiore, through his native Italy. For over 20 years, she has now created and ran memorable dining experiences that she molds after her own family’s dinner table.

She currently owns and operates The Italian Daughter, the fifth restaurant in her portfolio. Located in North Scottsdale, the restaurant boasts a variety of classic Italian dishes including handcrafted pastas, fresh seafood, and wood-fired pizzas, using recipes passed down through generations.

Tell us about The Italian Daughter ...

The Italian Daughter is a reflection of my childhood, serving classic Italian recipes passed down from my father. I try to extend the essence of Italian hospitality I learned from my father to honor his legacy.
