For the past 10 years, The Thumb has become a beloved Scottsdale landmark that is best known for its award-winning barbeque, bakery, car wash and service, beautiful artisan gift market, and for being featured in “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.” Opened in 2012 inside a gas station/car wash, The Thumb has become an unlikely but enormously popular destination for barbecue in the Valley. Its melt-in-your-mouth brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and Kansas City barbecue sauce are big hits among customers, including Guy Fieri. They even have an amazing fish tank that was featured on “Animal Planet.”
Now on Fridays and Saturdays, between 5 and 7 p.m., The Thumb features free, live music with local musicians and offers a terrific $10 Happy Hour Menu. The $10 Happy Hour Menu includes three, delicious smoked sliders with chicken and/or pork, The Works Quesadilla, Smoked Chicken Tacos, a large Oklahoma Burger with two, premium smash burger patties served with grilled onions, house mustard aioli, and American cheese, and Chipotle Pork Tater Tots.
Folks come to The Thumb from all over the Valley to fill up on gas, get their car washed, and while they wait, they relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner, gourmet coffee, and even do some shopping in the high-end gift shop boutique. Many shoppers purchase beautiful candles, dishes, accent pillows, and other home décor items here. The Thumb’s gift shop boutique is also filled with lots of adorable and whimsical Scottsdale-specific merchandise. This is a great spot to do some fun holiday shopping!
And, for those who are just not feeling like doing the Thanksgiving cooking this year, The Thumb is offering scrumptious, stress-free Thanksgiving To-Go meals. They’ll offer a 3 lb. smoked turkey breast, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, stuffing, creamed corn, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and a 9" pumpkin pie - all for $150. The meal is designed to feed four to six. The deadline to place an order is one week before Thanksgiving - Nov. 17. Pick-up will be on Thanksgiving Day between 8 a.m. and noon. The store will also be open so that customers can make any last-minute wine, beer, or gift purchases.
